Rolta has been awarded a new contract by UK Power Networks, a major utility company that delivers electricity to London, the South East and the East of England. This 7 year, multi-million pound contract was established to manage and update their spatially-enabled network asset information.
“It’s our job to keep the lights on for 8 million customers and in our first five years as a company we have made huge strides in reducing the number and duration of power cuts. Ensuring we have reliable and up-todate records about our key infrastructure is a key and ongoing part of this work, and we are very pleased to be awarding this contract to Rolta”, explained Matt Webb – Head of Asset Information. “Throughout what was a robust and hard fought procurement process, Rolta’s technical capabilities shone through, offering innovative tools and techniques, greatly enhancing the control of data quality and providing full transparency of the end-to-end production process. This new partnership represents an important step forward in improving our GIS data management capabilities whilst achieving best value for money.”
